Custom suede/Alcantara interior work

Well it's still a work in progress and still have much to do after the door panels but no funds at the moment. Had the headliner wrapped in a charcoal suede and painted all the plastic bits to match. The arm rest on the door panel was wrapped in the same charcoal suede with exposed silver stitching. The inside of the door panel is blue Alcantara with silver diamond stitching and is padded for the right look. The door panels aren't done, need to do some painting.

Here are some teaser pics:

Oh, and, anyone that has had (or has done themselves) any suede/alcantara work on the interior, post your pics.

The diamond stitching is sweet. I was thinking about having me headliner redone with it.

Beautiful diamond stitching on the doors, it looks awesome. How difficult was it to re-cover the headliner? Did you just glue your suede/alcantara over the original cloth? Were bubbles/wrinkles an issue? Just wondering because I would love to re-cover my headliner in something darker...

Someone in Germany did this with alcantara and textured leather. Look for the posts by Carbonium in this thread: http://www.mini2.com/forum/interior-...ml#post2096436

The one in the pics is beautiful. What made you get rid of the quilted white? It's awesome!

Love those custom interiors, eggs me on to the alcantara stuff I'd like to do to one car (although I'd never do it myself).

Love the white quilting, looks pimp.

I'm going to be putting the door panels back together tomorrow. I'll take some pics and post them once they're back in the car.

You'll have to wait till the end of the month when it hopefully done. But i garantee you'll all hate it lol. It's not your usual mini trim.

But it's my demo car (www.plush-automotive.com) so i do have a method to my madness my clients go alot wider than minis and want to show something innovative and gets the car rembered (hopefully).

WAKEMCS get some more pictures up love the interior.

Thanks for the compliments. xnotfunkylex, I paid $350 for the headliner and pillars.

m444sy, can't wait to see what you're doing with the new interior. Love your old one.

Here are quick shots:

What material are you all using? I want to suede my interior, but I want to do it dark. I'm afraid of the dark colors turning purple with time.
I looked at suede at Jo-ann's but some one said it will purple.
