5 spoke "Rocket" wheels/Convertible & TPMS

Seeking the knowledge of the collective: I am looking at a set of the 5-spoke "Rocket" wheels to swap onto my '08 non-S Clubman. Can anyone confirm that I'll be able to transplant the current version of TPMS sensors onto these wheels? Also, if anyone can tell me if there's a special "tool" to remove the center cap, I'd appreciate it.

--

Okay, I edited this because I was able to find out that this wheel is OE for the '08 convertible. I don't know about prior years. Can someone tell me if the '08 convertible uses the "direct" TPMS? All MINIusa says is "flat tire monitor" or somesuch. H'ep me out here!

Thx!

Okay. I asked over at MINI2, and they suggested I call a couple dealers. I called the two NC dealers. The convertible uses the indirect TPMS, and their impression is that the direct TPMS sensors will not fit. If anyone can give me a solid confirmation, I'd appreciate it, O/W I'm back in the wheel hunt.

On the special tool for the center cap--I have one in my OEM tool kit for the Rockets on my '05 MCC. I actually made a better one from a piece of coat hanger wire, just simply cut about a 6" piece and put a short 1/4" bend on one end to insert into the small hole in the center cap and a loop on the other end to put a finger in to pull with. Works great.

Bumpola.

I have had an unproductive email exchange with the folks at "Ask the MINI Product Manager." They suggested (repeatedly) that I contact my dealer, despite my opening my inquiry with the point that my dealer didn't have an answer.

Anybody know?
