I am ordering a new upgraded ignition and 8.5mm plug wires I have the Irridium plugs is a plasma booster over kill or will it ad a few hourses.

A plasma booster will only make the car faster because there is less weight in your wallet. Pay for it in pennies that you have been carrying around in the boot the increase is significant. Pay for it with a credit card and the gain will be to the vendors bank balance.
