Rotors from local autoparts stores?
Rotors from local autoparts stores?
Some vendors on NAM have recommended that if you are sticking with stock type rotors then just buy them local. So out of curiosity I stopped in Advance Auto Parts to see what rotor options they had for the Mini.
They had Front and rear rotors for $37 a piece. I have heard that most rotors sold at large chains are manufactured all by the same company and then rebadged accordingly. These rotors come with a 2 year warranty. I can't remember the specific brand name.
Anyways do you think there is anything wrong with using rotors from the chain stores over the more expensive OEMs? I would be using pads that would be okay for street and light auto-cross use.

Check with NAPA, that's where I would get them. Also Moss MINI has the best deal on Brembo replacements for a few more bucks. http://www.mossmini.com/Shop/ViewPro...eIndexID=53104
Or you could get the TSW rotors for the same price at my site below.

Some slotted rotors will occasionally crack under very intense situations. Even the ones that aren't supposed to get all that hot
Nothing wrong with using the plain-jane rotors...unless you're a total bling blinger
