In my view Robyn has the coolest dash of any MINI I have seen so far.
I am blue with envy!!! (to usurp MGCMAN's phrase)

However, I like my dash too:

with the speedo and vent trim rings in my exterior EB, and the tach trim as well as downtubes repainted in anthracite (from the original silver).

Now, show us your custom MINI dash!!!!!

M.

Hey thanks! I like what you did as well. It's there and it's unique but it's not in your face. Very subtle but very nice.

I think it would be neat if someone painted the uprights to match as well.

OK, one more shot of mine. I've never gotten this much attention in my life so I'm enjoying it while it lasts.

Markus and Robyn,

Those are both wonderful dashes. Now I'm two shades of blue with envy.

I like both of them. If I did it though I would make my dash like robyns except electric blue.

Does anyone know how hard it is to remove the dash pieces to have them painted like Robyn's dash?

It is just SO KEWL!

I love both of them. I think I may have to play around with mine and do something with all the "scratch-too-easy" silver interior trim.

Wow, cool stainless stuff!

Now we need some pics from Killerbee, with yellow trim and stainless dash (I believe).

Does anybody have pics of stainless down tubes?

M.

Yeah... and could someone PM me detailed instructions?

And, just by-the-by, Robyn... where, exactly, do you live....?

how much the rings costs???

I have check many sites about the price, it is expensive like h..l!
more than hundreds for all the rings?? i sounds like that is could be cheaper to find a craftman to make me one!

Dose anyone has a good deal?? I got a NAV in my MCS!

What is the source of the stainless steel rings? They look alot more substantial.
The chrome dash trim rings are attached by double stick tape and are very expensive- maybe $450+ for the full dash set. I got the three trim rings for the speedo, tach and shifter and it was about $180.

i didnt get the trim rings

i got my own rings chromed

the one around the speedo, the one around the tach, and the one around the shifter
they really jazz up the interior, without making it look bling bling tacky
these are chromed OEM pieces, not stick ons

i dont have closer pics sorry, no digi cam

Well if you want to go all out and don't care if someone wants to steal your entire MINI due to the looks of it's dash then just upgrade to this:

Grrrrrrr!!!!!

my friend on his m3 with hre rims, did the whole interior in gucci leather, everything, where dre gets his ferraris done, and it was 13K total

cheaper than a MC

I'm sure it smells good in there. Like a new baseball mitt.

Yes, I agree. Something like this:

You're probably right that it can be done for cheap. $13,000. Just the interior! Oh well, now everyone will be out to do this mod.

The rear looks too angular for me with lots of small boxes cut out, plus it is heavy and wide looking.
By comparison the front bumpers are also wide but not quite as ugly as the rear. The side skirts are OK and very low.
If you have really wide wheels then these wheel arches are not bad. I think once you commit to the wide arches then you need the front and rear bumpers to match the widths of the kit parts. Can't really mix and match as easily.

The dash with so much leather is interesting. They covered the dash in black leather! Take a close look. The top is brown along with the doors and other areas to match.
