DIY Rear Facing Tripod for Autocross

So here's the thing...
I want to tget some video of my 2008 DS/B MCS during my local autocross. I've done the headrest camera, and I am going to do the outside mounted cameras facing the front and rear wheels today.

But, what I really want is to get video of my car shot from about three feet in front of the bumper facing rearward, so that I can see the car (and me) going through the cones. I have a wide angle lens for a cheap security camera, and I have the design in mind for the tripod. It would use the tow hook and two suction cup mounts (one on the hood the other on the right front fender) and have bars that extend out about 36" from the front.

My question is, do you think they will let me on the trakc with it, and how likely is it that it will break?

Any autocross gurus and engineering types please answer.

Thx.
