Anybody got a free gift basket from their dealer upon delivery of their new Mini? Can you tell us what the contents are? I am super curious to know , but I guess it might be dealer-specific. Mine is East Bay Mini.

I am going to hold back for the floor and boot mats just in case a gift certificate for accessories is, in fact, one of the stuff in the bag.

just recieved a stick shift desktop note pad + pen set...it's a pretty cool item. here's the photo:

 

thats cool, i hope East Bay gives something worthwhile. I just found out they will not be throwing in mats and wheel locks.

 

I got mats, ...didn't know wheel locks were something that was thrown in. ...Funny, I just ordered a set the other day.

 

Would love to see photos/posts of other peoples gifts.. curious what else is being given?

The bag next to the Welcome Basket contained:

• 2 caps
• 2 polo shirts
• 2 t-shirts
• 2 key chains

Of course this was way back in 2002 when Bruce Dougherty was the General Manager, and I sent him so many referrals that he sold me my MINI for the "employee rate"

 

I got a bag full of car was goodies. Shampoo, exterior cleaner for plastic parts, wheel and tire cleaner, and interior cleaner and deodorizer. Also a wash mitt. The stuff seems to work pretty well thus far.

I had my Mini for a month now....nothing from Mini nor Mini Of Peabody (Except those magazine and catalog) :-(

 

at this rate, the wait is brutal, and being in the first week of production for my 09 mcs, i would be happy just getting my mcs in Oct/Nov free from any major problems!

 

I got my mini from East Bay Mini a month ago. The gift bag I got included a hat, mini bulldog key chain, and a pack of mini smints. I also got free mats but I had to fight for them

Hey, to be honest I was happy to get free floor mats and the stick shift note pad ...most dealerships don't give you anything (except a huge hassle in the negotiation process).

 

Thanks guys for your response. It looks like the most recent gift bag at delivery (Clum85's post, cheers) will at least contain a hat, a keychain and some candy. That sounds good . I would love a gift certificate for accessories but those stuff will do just fine indeed.

 

I got the same thing..... well they said I will get the grocery bag holder when it comes in for free and I too got the wheel locks. Not sure if the mats on the floor are the factory mats or if I got those for free.

 

We got our MCS a couple of weeks ago at East Bay Mini. Got a gift bag with hat, car mug and a bulldog keychain. We also got floor mats and truck mat, but we asked for the mats during the negotiation process.

 

If you buy from Blair & he says he will send them to you. Just say " I think I'd like them right now" because he "forgot" to send them to me.

 

I just got the same thing! It came in the mail on Thursday. It was nice!

 

I got a glass container of Russell Stover butterscotch candies.

 

oh, I totally forgot, I received 2 really nice Mini pens. They say "Mini of Concord" (where I purchased my car) printed on the side of each. The pens are a pretty nice weight and are silver + black in color. I'll post a photo later. ...my 2 year old son already destroyed one of the pens though (jammed the tip into a concrete paver stone in our backyard).

 

I picked up our new Clubman from EBMini on 7-19 and did get a gift bag that had a hat, bulldog key chain, MINI travelers mug, maybe a couple of other knick-knacks. Earlier in the day my MA asked if I wanted to buy a set of floor mats; I said no, and later he threw them in for free when he was begging for all 5's on the survey. The whole car pick-up process took about 2.5 hours; my MA said the average time is about 4 hours for pick-up. But that 2.5 hours just flew by compared to the previous 8 weeks.
