I just cant seem to bring myself to pay the astronomical retail prices on MINI performance parts.

Im going to make my own intake. $249 for a piece of stamped sheet metal, a silicon hose and an air filter just seems too high for me.

I was looking closely at the exhaust systems currently available. If I cant make an exhaust at least as nice as anything else out there for around $200, I'd be very surprised.

The only thing I can see myself buying is the pully. For $149 its not worth mocking one up in a CAD program and start milling them out.

I'll make sure to get some before and after dyno pulls to see how everything works.

If I jig these exhausts out and the quality is as good as say a Borla and the power is in the 8-12 HP range...........anyone interested in some exhausts for around $500?
