TPMS question

My car is an 07 with rubber valve stems. Do I need anything extra when I switch to aftermarket rims? I was told that on this rubber stems the monitoring unit was in the brakes...any truth here? PLEASE offer your 2 cts.

TPMS system will have a metal valve stem. So yours being rubber the ABS sensor is used to verify wheel RPM and if one is off, the light comes on. So in other words get what every wheels you want nothing extra is needed.
