You forgot to name this thread "Official".

Mine's sitting on the dealer's lot out on LI & I've been in NYC the last few days. Dealer's closed tomorrow, but I should be able to find it to fawn all over it and shoot some pics.

No, I believe you're actually referring to your wind tunnel engineered ground effects package...

Nice JCW photos. I didn't know that you could get the chrome grill surround on the JCW aerokit. Is that a factory installed option or dealer installed?

Thanks. It was dealer installed. The standard chrome grill surround is exactly the same as the black plastic JCW surround, so I just had the dealer use the chrome piece instead like on the Challenge race car. They had the black surround on the car first and it looked a little out of place to me with the chrome headlamp surrounds, mirrors, handles, gas cap, etc.

With your DS/DS color choice and chrome it really looks sharp! Is that a part then that any dealer can order and have on hand to install, or did it have to be special ordered by you?

The dealer should have it or can certainly get it. It's the part that comes with the car normally - the same as any Cooper S.

Here is my car before the dealer installed the JCW kit. I just used the same surround. I kept the stock bumper and I'm going to swap it in for winter use - the shape is much more forgiving I think for driving in deep snow.

Froglips,
I am in the process of configuring my Mini JCW and apparently yours looks exactly like the one I am thinking on getting: Lightning Blue with Black Roof and Stripes. Would you have more pictures you could share, that could help me make my final decision?
Tks!

I'm pretty sure there's a similar effect in the filter gallery or whatever it's called. Could be wrong though. I know I have come up with something like that before. But it does look sweeeet!
