I am curious as to the length of thoretical (with rear seat delete) flat floor in the Clubman. My R56 has roughly 41 inches.

thanks

I'm looking at the clubman for my next car. When I looked at one last week, I measured it. Came out to 54". This will vary with seat position, of course.

thanks, I measured from the rise in the floor--roughly from the front edge of the back seat bottom.

I went from the back of the front passenger seat to the inside edge of the trim on the bottom of the rear hatch opening.

This week I towed my Clubman S behind my motorhome and carried two 4 foot dog X pens in the back of the MINI along with a number of bundles of firewood. No problems. The MINI is an interesting car to tow because it does not have a locking steering wheel, so when put on a tow dolly, it is loose. In light of the fact that the emergency brake is on the rear, you can't make the front wheels stationary.. However I had no problems towing it from Pa to Va nad back. The best part it didn't use any gas at all. I can't say the same for the motorhome. Back to subject, there is a reasonable amount of space in theback with the rear seats folded down.

didnt you do the seat belt trick? pull the belt out, wrap it arround the bottom rim of the steering wheel a few times and then latch it...... locks the front wheels nicely

Glad to know x-pens fit. I was able to get four intermediate Kennel-Cab crates into a test rig and just assumed I'd be able to plop some x-pens on top.
