Speed TV and the AKARally
Hey guys, I figured this would be a good place to announce it since I just got the news from Chris...
The Speed Channel has officially announced that this year for the rally they are going to do six 30minute episodes! They are already doing casting calls for the episodes and I'm not sure how many teams they are calling for but there is still an opportunity to get in on it.
Some of you know the AKA story, other's are probably wondering what the rally is and if it actually stands for anything. The rally was started in 2004 and many of you have probably seen the TruLife episode on MTV. The AKARally has made itself known with the goal of opening a true, cross-country rally experience to everyone who loves to drive. Last year the AKARally went from Salt Lake City to Atlantic City, NJ, and featured top speed runs on the Bonneville Salt Flats.This year's rally will take place from August 18th to the 25th and will be going from NYC to Vegas with stops in between that will be announced at a later date.
I'll be there again this year with my Mini Cooper and I really hope to see some other local guys at the starting line. This is a great opportunity to advertise too(wink wink PM me if interested) If you guys have any questions you can PM me or post and I will respond as soon as I can, otherwise enjoy!

so I just finalized my plans and unfortunately the mini will not be going cross country....
...my buddy just picked up a black/red BMW 135i and we will be taking that! I can't wait, he is getting it tuned beforehand and it should be good for 350-380whp!
