It looks like we're heading to Phoenix. It looks like it should be around 110 out there. A true test for the sunroof tint!

I have this next week off. So, I'll be motoring somewhere around Florida, but we haven't made concrete plans yet. Have been wanting to check out Ikea. . .maybe Orlando?

I'm staying local this weekend for a change. However, I will be in Uxbridge, MA next weekend and Oneonta, NY in two weeks for a wedding.

I'm hittin the road tomorrow!... from Chicago to Boston/The Cape. 1,000+ miles each way. Red Sox game and decent seafood make it all worth the price of gas!

It'll be the first time we've taken the clubby on the highway for more than 10 miles at a time. Also, we've been roadtripping exclusively in our Element for the last 5 years -- so we're curious/anxious about the contrast in size affecting comfort, etc... but also excited to see the country in mini motoring style!

gotta get the the xm installed tonight though -- or it'll be a little more boring than it needs to be.

I still need to do that for my car. I've had the radio active and paid for since March, but it's just sitting in the glove box.

Taking it easy this weekend and going up to Tahoe. Last weekend was the big road trip weekend on the Motherlode rally in the 2002tii. About 700 miles and a half dozen mountain passes at 8000 - 9000 ft. Some dirt roads thrown in as well. I'll be taking the Mini up those roads (maybe not the dirt) in the future. Spectacular scenery and great driving.

I should probably rinse off the Mini in case I get some pics this weekend, but probably not as there is still a lot of ash in the air.

Heading down from MA to CT to do some kayaking. First trip with something on the racks. Will post a picture when they the kayaks go on tonight.

Should make for an interseting ride as the kayaks are 11'1" long.

This will also be a good test of how it affects the gas mileage.

110+ ! With tint? I'll be looking for the Clubman with the exploding sunroof... just kidding!

Have been running around this week with nothing other than the screen shade on the sunroof and it has not been noticeably hot or unbearable or anything else I had imagined. I had also envisioned the A/C not being able to keep up but I have been completely comfortable with the auto air doing it's thing. No complaints!

Maybe we will see you around town.

Ditto. Cruise should be over today. We should have said goodbye to Gopher and Doc and Julie McCoy.

I hope I can get out and motor next week.

that's awesome ... love kayaking, but living in a building has prevented me from getting a hard one. Looking at some inflatable ones ...

where do you go in CT?

This time it will be on the Farmington River somewhere between Unionville and Windsor Locks.

Have not figured out all the details yet as the weather is not supposed to be very good this weekend from what i hear

I just got back from Orlando Monday night. From there, we drove to Daytona, and then Cocoa Beach. Almost a week there and we only counted about 5 MINIS?

LOL!! I'll be the one with the plywood duct taped to the lid over where the sunroof USED to be!!!

I already had a road trip several weeks ago to Mesa.....I wondered about the A/C being able to keep up too but it hung in there.....and it was 112 that trip. We went to a D-Backs game......112 outside, 77 inside the stadium....now THATS an A/C unit!!!!
