Noob Question: Horsehair wash brush??

I have a "Auto Body Washing Brush" made by Balkamp #760-1400.
Printed on the wood handle is "Horsehair Bristles for Softness".

Good to use on the new MINI? Just on the wheels and tires? Or should I put it back in the basement and buy a lambswool mitt? I think I bought it for my 86 Jaguar V12 Convert back then but never used it.

2nd kinda unrelated question: I assume you should use one mitt or brush for the body paint and use a separate one for the tires and wheels. Right?

(I did a search, but only found info on horsehair detailing brushes)

I use a lambs wool wash mitt for the paint and either a microfiber mitt or a wheel brush of the wheels depending if I want to go deep or just outside.
Personally I wouldn't trust a brush on my paint, whether it's horse hair or Yettie fur. Wheels might be fine, but too big for my tastes.
BTW DP has a really nice lambs wool mitt that is black and ultra soft: www.detailersparadise.com

I agree and would not use the horse hair brush on paint. It is probably perfect for tires though. Griot's sells some horse hair brush for wheel wells and stuff. And yes the DP black lambs wool mit is super plush. I just got mine a few days ago in the mail!! Your paint will love you after using it

yah, just repeating the above... horsehair brush is stiff vs boar's hair
brush. i have a horsehair brush to do the interior carpets and seats.
i would definitely not use that on paint.

even boar's hair brush swirls paint from my experience.
