Lime green rims and strips?

well, im going to buy a mini cooper S and i wanted to put lime green or aqua rims and bonnet strips. wanted to know the opinion of other mini cooper owners. i really havn't heard or seen any loud mini coopers in term of colors. the base color i was looking at was black, dark gray, or silver.

I say go for it!
I love to see all kinds of incredible expressions of ones self. Especially with a mini!

Funny you ask, because I just saw a Mini with lime green stripes and mirrors the other day. For some reason I can't remember what color the car was though! The lime green really stood out in my mind I guess.

Sounds tacky to me.....but it could work if you're working on a race car where the bright colors seem a bit more at home.

(PS....real BBS, no look-a-likes )

Yeah that would work on either black or PW. It's similar to a bright orange. Just get quality paint and stripes otherwise two years down the road it will fade and you'll hate it.

I think it would look cool on the lighter silver!

I saw one a few months ago that had lime green stripes. I didn't notice the wheels. The body was Electric Blue. It was definitely unique and not as terrible looking as it sounds.

That lime green/black racer looks sweet. It would work on the street...definitely look better than the spray painted, Home Depot orange Civics we have around here. There are at least 3 or 4 of them.

I have seen lime green on a pure silver/black and really liked it. They were a lighter shade of lime green, outlined in black. I think they were actually close to the color of this - .

I tried to find a picture but I can't remember what thread it was in. I remember the girl's husband owned a graphics shop and she changed them out pretty regularly.

I am all about getting out of the black/white stripe rut everyone seems to be in! The trick would be testing various shades against the paint to fine the one that works best. There are many shades of lime green out there. I do have to say that I think it would look better with the jet black rather than astro black. The astro black (with all the blue flake in it) would probably look better against a color with a more bluish tint. Jet black would work with just about any color.

Whenever I think of extreme MINI color schemes, I don't think of what one might see out on the road....I think of what you find here!!!!!
