The S still takes off in 6th gear, so I can't imagine the upgrade's giddy up.

not , I was which means I was asking a question.. I don't understand why he is saying it starts out in 6th gear. Any automatic I have ever driven starts in 1st gear, even the clubman I test drove started in first (from what I could tell, sure wasnt "6th" gear..

So I still don't understand, what do you mean the car starts in 6th gear. It starts in 1st, then it switches to second at a predetermined speed. Am I missing something here..

 

yes...when he said it "takes off in 6th gear" he meant that the car still pulls hard at speed in 6th not that it takes off from a stop in 6th

Very nice but that chrome grille trim needs to go!

 

i know, when i purchased the grill i thought the trim would be black too.
the top grill was a pain in the ***, i guess i could have it vinyl wrapped. i just dont want it to look like i did this in my garage with electrical tape. the grill fits so nice and just looks seamless when you get right up on the front end. any ideas let me know.

Well when I take off in 6th, it doesn't go very quickly so I downshift to 5th, then it still doesn't go quickly enough, then I floor it, depress the kickdown, it downshifts to 4th, then I'm flying.

BTW in D the Aisin starts from 2nd. In DS it starts in 1st.
