I have 16" wheels on my car. When I bought the car, I was told several times that it did not have run flats on it, that they were all season tires. I trusted what I was told and called it a day... then at a club meet up the other day, I actually read what my tires say... "Goodyear Excellence run on flat." So, I went and looked up the tires and saw that they are considered "summer tires". Summer only lasts for three months here, and there is a strong possibility of snow by the end of September so I need to start shopping for tires now.

I want to get all seasons, because I don't have space to store a spare set of tires and wheels in my garage. I was looking at getting the continental run flats. What do you guys think of these and their performance on snow and ice?

Don't mess with those tires. Get something like the Falken Ziex-912 or perhaps the Kumho ASX for a performance oriented all season tire!

Continental ContiProContact SSR will be fine.

Yup! Those are the tires I was looking at, sorry I didn't give more detailed info, I sort of panicked when I realized that I had a summer tire on the car because that was money I really wasn't expecting to spend just yet!
