Drivetrain Powerflex bushings from Moss Mini
Powerflex bushings from Moss Mini -valid question...please help
Ok, first off we all know that the upper engine bushings were changed late 04'. Other companies like Outmotoring, Mini-Madness, IE, and Mini Corsa all relay this on their website. At Moss Mini:
http://www.mossmini.com/Shop/ViewPro...eIndexID=36703
it shows that the Upper engine bushing is good for all years 02-06 and even 07-08 conv. My question is, is this true? If it is, I'm simply going to buy my bushings from them since I can get a full set. Otherwise I'll probably get IE bushings since they are black. I have a May 05' build so I am definitly in the newer upper mount catagory...anyone have any ideas. I tried calling them but they basically just see whats on the screen and take that is truth...I'd rather not buy them and have to ship them back after I take off my upper mount and find out they don't fit.

Powerflex has a good website with photos. Try cross referencing part #'s.

Thanks Jeremy
Looking at their site, I believe Moss Mini has a misinformed site. As I also know, the rear trailing arm bushings chaged in the 05's. Powerflex has two different part numbers for two different rear trailing arm bushings PFR5-110 and PFR5-1102
The Upper engine mount does NOT have two different part numbers. Since we know they do fit early mods, I am going to assume that they do not fit late models...since many other sites mention this.
One last question...would anybody consider the "small" engine bushings worth it? Those who have replaced them would know what I mean. I'm just doing this research now, because I just ordered an M7 16% and want to do the bushings at the same time. Looks like lower and tranny IE bushings for me then, but if the small bushings are worth it, I'll buy them too since I'm getting rear trailing arm ones anyway.

You just need the lower engine mounts, one big the other small, and the gearbox mount which is actually the left upper engine mount.
I don't know about the suspension bushings, I just have the engine mounts. I had to cut off about a 1/4 inch of the metal sleeve for the small lower engine mount. Everything else went in OK. I installed mine when I did my pulley, it's a perfect time to do the engine bushings.
