R50/53 Extended maintenance plan - yes or no?
I'm not talking about an extended warranty - I know better than that. But my dealer offered me a 4th year maintenance coverage for about $500. The only way I can see it being worth it would be if I needed new brakes or clutch or something. He said that would all be covered with no deductible. What do you think?

I had my brakes (pads + rotors + abs sensor) replaced under my last maintnence visit..and dont even want to know what it would have cost. It is nice, but i would keep your 5 large, and not worry about it, unless you really have terrible luck with cars.
Just wait till you get your bill for the Inspection II due sometime in the mid 40k range I think. Not covered by warranty, is covered by extended maintenance.
It's a question of how hard do your drive your car, and how many miles a year do you drive.

Brakes and clutch are wear items. If they broke prematurely it should be covered by warranty. Can't see arguing that over three years would be 'premature'. They say in writing that ALL items are covered by the 'maintenance' warranty?
Put your $500 in a good stock and pay for maintenance (or do it yourself) when the time comes.
