can a bike fit inside?

Has anyone tried fitting a bike inside the Clubman with the bike's front wheel detached? It seems like a tight fit, but I thought it might be possible.

I think it would fit, too. I've carried a bike in my R53, but needed to remove both wheels. The Clubman's extra cargo area should be adequate. Unless the interior materials have improved since 2006 MINIs, though, I would caution against carrying things like bicycles as you will scuff the plastic interior in no time. Maybe scuffed interior panels and seat backs aren't an issue, though.

I can put my 60cm road bike in the back with the rear seats folded down and the front tire off. I need to move the front passenger seat forward to do it though. Not real ideal but it works in a pinch.

I saw a road bike in the back of a clubman last weekend . The front wheel was off and it did look like the passenger seat had been moved forward a bit . It did not look to be too tough of a fit and it weas a full sized bike .

I've done it with a 19" mountain bike. Like said above: fits but not ideal.

Had my freeride mountain bike in last weekend. Took front and back wheels off but think it would have fit fine with just the front off.

My 54 cm road bike fits with no problem. I carry it inside the Clubman just about every weekend. I would recommend using a blanket in the cargo area as the chainrings can be very close to the sides. I do not need to move the passenger seat forward.

I carry a road bike as well in the back. Just the front tire comes off. Can be a little tricky moving in and out with out touching/scratching the sides. +1 on the blanket.

When I test drove a Clubman I took my mountain bike along to make sure I could stuff it in the back. I had to pull the seat post in addition to the front wheel but I got the doors shut...

I have a 2008 Cooper S Clubman and I took off both wheels and my seat. It's a 19" frame mountain bike. I was VERY careful loading and un-loading, it doesn't take much to scratch up the interior if you're not careful...
