Was in kroger's parking lot yesterday, parked DMonk far away from anyone/thing
ran in to pick up some things for Dinner. When I came out a "Ricer"... Honda with
a big wale tale on the back ( un-painted etc...) he had a Nitro container on the
pass.side window (mounted up their ) like I was suppose to go "OMG", "That car
must be the fasted thing on 4 wheels", I smiled and nodded. Him and his "Loser"
buddy snickered and asked me if my car was fast. I said "I gets me to work and
around the curves", "fast for me, but I am old", they smiled and asked if I had
been down thru the other end of russell road ( it has lots of turns etc and a few
straights ) I run it from time to time cause its fun. I said yep!, they asked me
if I think I could keep up with their car, I said yep, ... so I followed... I guess he
never wanted to use the nitro, it was all I could do to not bump him out of the way.

comming back.... yep you guessed it. when I pulled into kroger, I had time
to park and get out and pop the bonnett, then the "Ricer" showed up, they got out
and wanted to know. what was in my car

told them just a few things, a "Randy" Special, and a few other things. they wanted
to know the HP, I said "I really dont know, never dynoed", I said " guys it gets me
to work and around the curves and its fun" I asked why he never used his nitro to
catch up or pull away.... I never got an response.....

I have seen this guy around, he is pretty into him self .... well maybe when he see
me or another MCS or MC he will give way....

Ok, I know it was not mature of me, but ... I have a Mini .... its like a horse that
wants to run.... and I see to many of these kids in Ricers etc...

anyway just dont know why they even try!

Chalk up another MCS total victory.

Maybe you should have mentioned to him all the drag he was creating by running an unpainted rear wing.

My favorite thing to do is just ease out of first gear when racing a ricer..... let them sort of pull away, let them think they have a chance and then..just when they start to smile... let the nice and long 1st gear do its work from 4-7k RPM, shift to 2nd nice and easy, and....the best part... wave good bye to them as their jaws drop at how bad I pulled away at 50 or so MPH....

GOSH THIS IS TOO MUCH FUN!!!

I really love that our gear ratios are much longer than the imports in 1st and 2nd, when racing one, they always seem to be shifting to 2nd gear when im just hitting the power of 1st.

When I was little I used to trade my little sister her dimes for my nickels because "it's bigger". She always fell for it. Kind of like these guys!!
