I hate being a Tommy Topic, but shouldn't this be in the Interior Mods forum? There's been quite a few threads about this very subject...

But it looks GREAT! I really like the stock s Bumper better than the aero. With those grills.. yeah, dude.

Yea, I agree, this is an awesome look for the S, I will DEFINATELY spend some serious time in the garage as soon as I get her, the driving lights are already on order, and I'm about to do the same for the grilles, always great to have some solid instructions before starting (though I'll never admit that to my girlfriend, "just stop and ask!&quot... anyway, thanks for the post, I look forward to the grille challenge.

Car looks much much better!

Was it difficult to get a hold of the Grill without the rest of the Aerokit? How much did it cost?

Has anyone thought about ordering the Euro 'rear' fog lamp toggle switch and wiring the driving lights to it? There should be at least one empty slot for the toggle switch next to the right window lift. Anyone tried this yet?

Sorry, but why change it to plastic. I love the look of the painted grills vs. black plastic.

You can either get it straight from MINI from their accesories catalog, or you could also order at a discounted price from Classic Mini, not sure of their website, but the lights were discounted $130 from what MINI charges, they also have the grilles for 20% off.

I think the black grilles look more sporty - but to each his own!

I think the black grill is absoutely outstanding! You have exceptional taste. The black grill ties the black parts together to give it a cohesive look. It's wonderful.

Does anyone have pictures of a "S" with black grille (like R55W11's) but with side skirts as well? I would love to see what that would look like.

I'm considering a 2003 S and was curious to know what it would look like. I suppose I can do it in photoshop but I would need to find cars and parts that match (as close as possible). If someone has it, please post.

Thanks much!

Check out my website now - I've added a section with some part numbers, including the grilles.

Jfong91,
I have the full aero kit on my new S. I had custom paint work done on the front and rear bumper covers along with sanding, priming, and painting the wheels arches to match the body color. I'll post some additional pictures of "Mr Blue Sky" in the next couple of days.

Mark,

Your S looks awesome! Even the black ring around the edge of the wheelwell is painted,

Did you simply paint over the existing stock part or was it a special part? Either case, yes please. I would love to see more pics and hear more details about how you did it? Yourself? Auto body shop? Cost, etc.

Thanks for sharing and we all look forward to the pictures.

Best!

I really love what everyone has done with their exteriors. The black grill is wonderful by it self. The painted arches and aero package looks great!

I would be scared to take apart a brand new car for modifications. What you all have done with your cars have been terrific. All I need to do now is save up the money for a 2003 MCS!

Cheers!
