R50/53 Aux cooler???
Aux cooler???
I was browsing through some pics on this site when I noticed something on a 2008 R52 cabrio CVT. On top of the a/c condensor, in front of the radiator, I noticed a small aux cooler.
Here's a link to the pic: http://siverly.smugmug.com/gallery/5...07375906_hizKE
Hope the owner don't mind me posting a link to his/her album
I'm wondering if it's a oil cooler for the CVT transmission. I'm pretty familiar with all MINI models and this is the first time I noticed it. If it's a cooler for the CVT, was it recently introduced?
BTW, the White Siliver is absolutely stunning

It doesn't seem to be new. It's on realoem: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...21&hg=17&fg=05
Moss sells an oil cooler made by Cobalt($250.00) that fits in that spot on a manual transmission MINI. Jegs also sells a two loop cooler($50.00) that appears to fit in that location. I am ordering one to use as a power steering fluid cooler. May not help but sure can't hurt.
