Ok here is our blog about the trip to Miami.
We left Columbia a little late..and no ,not because of me..first time for everything yes?
Off we went and everything was fine, we stopped down the road and filled up.. and zipped on off..Now its true we weren''t at the beach early in the day, but we were lucky enough to be together and thats what this club is about. Our wacky crazy disjointed family.
We did stop at cracker barrel for lunch then headed on down the road.. we rain into a little bit of rain but not enough to slow us down alot. Traffic really wasn't too bad, a few spots where it got congested but all in all not enough to make it unbearable.
We are bunked down for the night here at a holiday inn express in Cocoa Beach. The lady here at the front desk, suggested we go to a place called Grandpa's for dinner. It is a steak house here in Cocoa..
Now when you order , the meal comes with a salad bar.. and the waiter warns you not to waste the food from the salad bar, you eat what you take or they charge you 2.00. He also went off to say don't be slick and try to take whats left on your plate into the rest room because they will follow you and make sure you didn't flush the salad.. hm..
The restaraunt is built into an old railway car.. kinda cool atmosphere, but it was quite old I think , Doc and Cathy came out with stuffy noses.. We think it could be the mold in the air con .. who knows. they also have cats outside that have free reign, and there is a sign warning you not to take a cat home,they dont want to come home with you..
Now back to the hotel.. for some.
Sharon and I went off to walmart to get some goodies for a few people's / car.. would a trip with Sharon and I not ambushing someone's car be as fun
We think not!!!!!!

So now as far as we know, everyone is tucked in nice and safe.. and comfy.. and relaxing.. tomorrow an early day.. as we get up and have breakfast, and head out to Miami around 9 a.m. Not much happening tomorrow until 7 pm when they have a meet and greet at Bicentenial park..
