Stage II Brakes and ABS

So I am running some slotted/drilled rotors, Hawk HPS Pads, Goodridge SS brake lines and ATE Superblue fluid. However I am not totally satisfied with the cold braking performance. Sometimes w/ the brakes cold, brake tests from say 60 MPH to 0 I can get the brake pedal to the physical limit (floor) and not "feel" the ABS kicking in. Sometimes I can feel the ABS but only slightly.

What am I missing here? Dont think I have any air in the lines as brakes feel great when warm. Perhaps just the Hawk HPS pads need a bit of heat in them? Perhaps the ABS is really senstive? Perhaps just need to bed in the brakes again as seem to stop better after I abuse them a bit.

Anyway to disable the ABS to test?

I am about to do BBK if I can resolve the issue/better braking..but that is $$

Thx

It's not the rotor size thats limiting you if you can't lock up the tires when cold. I had the same problem, and it was definitely the pads. Get some better pads and it will make all the difference in the world. I'm using carbotech bobcats and I can get the abs to kick in pretty easily when cold. When hot, they are a bit touchy, but tires will make a bit difference.
