I can see the future of this black needing a little treatment to make the color come back from fading, etc.

STONER "Trim Shine" is a great product to use. You can spray it on and wipe or you can spray it on and leave it, which I now do and it looks great, does not collect dust nor is it greasey. It also covers up any wax that accidently gets on any trim.

Another +1 for Black Wow. The price is off-putting to some, but it will last you for years.

I'll add a +1 for Black Wow as well. I just got mine last week and applied it yesterday. Very nice results. Earlier in the week I had practiced on a Plymouth Grand Voyager with a sea of black plastic. Between the two vehicles, I've still barely used what is in the bottle - maybe 10% - and I think I was probably going a little too heavy on the van. So while expensive, looks like it will last me a long time.

FlyingZ.
Though some of the products above are great,
I use multiple tire black sprays on the tires and trim
When I wash the car, I spray some on a paper towel and hit the trim.
It wiped out Zymol(car wax that touched the trim)very easily.
Since I wash every 1-2 weeks, I hit the trim often.

I haven't seen a single Mini with the black trim terribly faded or discolored yet.
However, I've had other cars where this eventually became a problem and I used this and was very happy: http://www.griotsgarage.com/product/...rrivals&page=1

W/ Black Wow I've washed my car 3 times since applying it, been through 4 thunderstorms/showers and it's holding up, trim still looks nice and dark.

x2 on the Black Wow. And it has to be super-black because it's surrounded by Jet Black paint.

"Back to Black" is another good cleaner that gets any stray wax off the plastic.

I've also been using 303 Aerospace Protectant, it had a lot of good reviews.

+1

Good product, used it on the trim of my 98 M3. After years of fading, using this made it look like new again.
