I was at a Mini dealer in San Diego the other week. They had two raced out Mini's. Only thing that was stripped was the driver door panel. Everything else was still in the car. Pass seat, dash, back seat..

The back seat is almost 40lbs itself. Drop the spare and that's another probably 20-25. If you have some decent cash to spend, there's always other seats that could be swapped in.

What questions do you have? Mine's not completely stripped out, but the back half is empty, race seats and steering wheel up front, battery moved to the back, etc.

It's still slow.

Well first off how did you do the battery move? And to be honest I just bought a steering wheel and i was wondering if anybody had gotten rid of their three spoke steering wheel because I need some parts. I would have posted a thread in the Want To Buy forum but no one ever looks in there ya know

Hey guys I came across this video on Youtube. It is a MINI Cooper Cup with just Coopers racing. I believe these Coopers are gutted with a full roll cage. Take a look at the video, these Coopers sound great and handle like no other!

Going to

Since I've been autocrossing I have started taking random parts. First the rear seats the the passenger seat. I would like to take the radio pillars out but don't know if the pillars are for function or show?

the radio pillars weigh almost nothing... its just 2 pieces of plastic...
no more than 0.5kg(both)!

I've stripped out the all seats, spare and lost 100 and with a lightened crankshaft pulley is like losing another 100. I autocross in HS showroom stock and now MS modified stock. Lighter wheels and tyres helps.

You really don't need the pillars if your racing but it does stabalize the radio.
