Suspension Bushings are they worth while, if so which ones?

Bushings are they worth while, if so which ones?

I am in the process of getting bushings for the mini...all of them I'm going to upgrade them to the urathane ones. I have fortnight before I get back from my deployment so I have some time to do my research. I only know of one person that has ever done these ( did it to a stratus RT) he said it was a pain but the ones he did he noticed.

I was wondering if anyone has installed the new bushings on the cooper and if so how was the install and what was the imporvement. Any particular bushings I should do before another, I think you get the idea...

Thanks again NAM

i did them in a 92 CIVIC Si (the hatch in my gallery), witch is a wishbone car front and rear, lots of bushings. Not worth it IMHO. It was alot of work, did it over the winter with the sub frames out and the motor pulled.

from my experience they need alot of upkeep and replaced offten. They need to be dissasembeld and greases or make grease nipples for them and greased to stop them from drying out,and they deform over time so you have to replace them once in a while. They crack with age. they can restrict movement in large one like trailing arms.

I would get shperical if you can. or just refresed OEM ones. Or a combo of critical spherical ones and rear suspension OEM.

my 2 cents.

I have them and like them. My front control arm bushings were worn out so it really made the car feel less floaty. I didn't install them so I can't say whether or not that aspect is worth it.

I did all of them on my car with a friend, in a parking lot, in a weekend. I think the difference is pretty significant and I'd do it again.
