Lounge Leather or JCW Aero Kit...?

I cannot make up my mind on how I want to allocate my funds for my 08 MCS? ... Get the Lounge Leather or get a JCW AERO kit installed from the factory?

Can anyone quote me a price on how much the JCW AERO kit cost if it is installed by the factory rather than at the daeler?

Thanks

Depends. If you are planning on reselling in the future the leather will be worth more on resale.

But if you are keeping the car, I'd go JCW Aero Kit all the way and get the leatherette. The JCW Aero Kit just makes the car pop, and you will be so much more proud of it, than the leather.

I may be mistaken, but I believe the JCW Aero Kit can only be a dealer install.

The JCW aero kit I believe is put on at the port and runs between 2550-2600 vs the factory installed for 1250. You could save 500 by getting a cheaper leather...

I have both but if I had to choose, I'd get the leather, save my pennies, then down the road get the JCW aero kit. It's normally port installed but it can be installed by the dealership.

I've had the leatherette for 3 months in Socal.
I like the look and grip of the leatherette better than the LL. The look of the leatherette just really suits the MINI. Plus, $2K for leather is egregious.

I'd skip both and spend the $2K on a really good set of coilovers.

Very good points! Much agreed

Why not do Panther leather and regular Aero kit. It's a compromise, but it lets you get the best of both worlds.

Panther leather is a slightly stiffer, but more durable leather than Lounge. It costs $500 less.

Additionally, the "regular" aero kit is only $1250, compared to $2500++ installed price for JCW aero kit.

I'd probably go with the JCW Aero Kit. It makes the MINI look more muscular and meaner, and the leatherette (which is what I have in my MINI) is actually pretty nice.

I have no complaints with the leatherette seats and I now wish I had the JCW Aero Kit.

This is how i figure it out. Are you going to spend more time driving your mini i.e. inside it smelling the nice LL. Or outside ur mini looking at ur aero kit. Comes down to where ur gonna be located more inside or outside. If inside go for LL. If outside go for Aero Kit.

IMO, The regular aero kit may be less than 50%f the cost of the JCW aero kit but it's 1000% better looking.

Yeah and another thing is i think its easier to get the aero kit added on later than it is to get leather seats. But i dont know.
