Haw haw... funny anti-Hummer site (The Anti-MINI)
I was just monkeying around online looking at cars that DON'T get mpg like my Mini (it makes me feel good, what can I say?) and noticed that on Hummer's website, they do not list their vehicle's mpg even in the specs section, only that its fuel tank capacity is 32 gallons.
So I did a quick Google search, and found this: http://www.fuh2.com/
(Warning: The site may contain ungentlemanly language.)
Motor on!

I'd heard the most complaints about Hummers in quality surveys were about their fuel consumption. I could never understand that, if you're buying something like that, what do you expect. However, if Hummer arn't admitting to it, maybe they really don't know what they're letting themselves in for.

What's nice about that is that also applies to anyone driving a big, lifted truck (unless they truly off road in it, how many actually do?). I just laugh at the people in their 3500 Dually Diesel with chrome crap all over the place.

Don't let your bulldog mouth get your chihuahua butt in trouble"
my buddy has a Hummer....he's got a house at Swan Beach between Corolla and Carova....there's only one way to get there and a MINI ain't gonna make it any further than the Kia did.
Too much hatorade in this thread...
There are exceptions to every rule. However for every SUV/Hummer owner that uses and needs it to actually go off road there are a hundred wasteful morons. Another gallon of Hatorade for me please.
That site bugs me to no end. Some of the pictures are very retarded, like flicking off a Hummer bicycle from the open window of their car (there's an environmental statement for you) or the guy who appeared to be in a Corvette flicking off an H2 (sure it's doesn't use as much gas but it's hardly the model of economy).
I don't like people buying excessively large and conspicuous fashion statements but it is a free market and if they can afford to buy and drive one of these things, they have every right to do so.
We're hardly beacons of green technology. Sure we're not as bad as SUVs but really our cars could do so much better. A lot of MINI owners bought their cars for their performance or for the appearance/status, not so different than why a lot of people buy Hummers. It seems our community might share more with a community of Hummer owners than we'd like to think.

BUT, there is no denying in that Hummers are stupidly wasteful vehicles
in a same way celebrities own 6-10 million dollar houses in Malibu.
However, the difference is that the celebrities living in their private villages doesn't really harm me and the people.
The H2s, on the other hand, weighs 8500 pounds and gets 10mpg producing all the CO2s in the world.
Now, 8500 pound vehicle is dangerous to surrounding drivers no matter how nimble it is. Sure, crashing is never comfortable but who needs 8500-pound-non-commercial-vehicle on public roads?
