Will road bike fit in back of MC with seats down?

Plan on using my MC JCW to carry my road bike and was told by one MA that it would fit with the seats folded down and the front wheel off. Wondered if that was really true? Any pics?
Thanks!

Most likely true. Dont know if it would be lying on its side or upright

I fit my mountain bike in there. If I didn't have the sunroof, I'd need to pull the seatpost out to fit it in like this. I put a quick release on it so I could lower it easier. Also the big ring touches the seatback so I slip a small thin piece of wood under it for protection.

My 52 cm road bike fits with the front wheel off, both seats down, and the passenger seat moved all the way forward. You could probably do it without bumping the passenger seat forward but I don't like to cram the bike in when I don't have the rack installed.

Depends on your bike size. I'm tall, both wheels have to come off, and passenger seat moved forward.

Thanks all. Mine is a 52cm frame. Sounds like it will just fit. I plan on buying the rear trunk cover.

I put my 52cm road bike in the car whenever I go riding. I have to wedge a shoe box + another thinner box (USPS priority mail box) between the passenger seat and the rear seat to prevent it from sliding back and forth.
