Just a thought, but on the longer drives do any of you all have those nifty multiple channel radios? I mean thus no roaming time has to be used on everyone's cell phones.

Just a thought.

I usually have a FRS radio in the car anyways for my usual "night runs" but I think most use 7 sub 21 as the Mini channel (has something to do with compatibility with most systems out there.

but it would be a good idea to have an FRS with a headset anyways, Motorola has a good handsfree system (vox)

The Mid-Atlantic drives all use FRS radios on 7 sub 21.

We use them in NY too. Channel 7. Very handy if someone gets stuck at a light.

I find the Motorola ones to be the best for handsfree use, as they have VOX.
