One of our members Jerry King had a stroke and we wish that everyone would keep him in your prayers. Jerry and his family have been to almost all of our meet n eats in the past year. My goodness! Things are quite devastating these past couple of weeks. Ruffcat, Cathy's Mother and all. Luke thanks for keeping us all abreast of our members. Don't know what we'd do without your constant care for all our well beings. You are truly going to be a hard act to follow for that next club president. Jerry has just been individually added to my prayers.

UPDATE ON JERRY
I finally got up with JoAnn this evening the 24th and Jerry is doing better. He will probably be moved next week to the Rowan Regional Medical Center Re-Hab. He can walk with a walker and his speech is not imparied. He will probably have to be in re hab for 2-3 weeks depending upon his progress. He said to tell everyone he really misses the club functions. Please drop him a card and I am sure he will appriciate it. Luke

UPDATE ON JERRY. I talked to JoAnn this morning Thursday the 5th June and Jerry is coming home tomorrow. He will have to have home care, but as she said refused to go to Nursing Home. He is improving daily but has a long way to go, so please keep Jerry and his family in your prayers. I am going to try and visit him 1st of week and will let you know.

 

Good news on going home, hope the home care will be as good with rehab. as the nursing home.

Update on Jerry he is doing physical theraphy all day long and is eating better. He had some problems swallowing but they have corrected that. I am going to try and visit him this evening or tomorrow. I will let you know more after the visit. Luke

 

6-24-08 just returned from visiting Jerry & JoAnn in Kannapolis. Jerry is doing very good and has been going thru alot of theraphy. He really wants to get out and drive but they will not let him yet. He is in good spirits and we had a nice chat. He has gotten a luggage rack and Thule luggage carrier for his Mini. He also has a VANITY PLATE 007 MINI. Drop him a card and for all the cards he received he really enjoyed them and said to tell everyone thanks! Will keep you posted on his progress. Luke
