At least those of you who have been following my mod adventures for the past 23 months won't believe it.
Yep, after 50 purely aesthetic mods on the three MINIs, the originator of The Mad Modder Club is finally doing a couple of performance mods !!
Behold: Megan cat-back systems.
Notice also the red filters I put out. WMW/DDM Cold Air Intakes to be installed also. Work to be completed on Thursday.

And yeah, I know the garage floor needs to be mopped.

Wow, I don't even know what to say!
I'm now ashamed to call myself OCD!
Although, my husband's in charge of the garage

street parking is the worst

It started when my other half heard some of the exhaust stystems at MOTD. She HAD to have some burble (or as she called it, "verbal").
So anyway, she mentions this to Mishka at the farewell dinner and the next thing you know, we are both getting rides to listen to the growl of the CAI. Thanks to Hansie, too.
So... we come back home, I do a little research here on NAM and listen to some audio recordings of the aftermarket exhaust systems... couple weeks later, here we are.
Thanks... yeah, we loved the sound of the Megan system.
Nope, no pipes for the MCSC for now. Being a convertible, you already hear quite a bit of Hummmmmmmmm while motoring. I'm afraid it would be too loud inside the car with aftermarket exhaust.
Who knows if that particular itch will need to be scratched in the future though.

The Racedeck tiles are 1 sf each. As you can see in my pic, the checkered area is 6 tiles wide by 11 tiles long... 66 tiles. So if you just want to do an area large enough to park the MINI on top of it, that's all you'd need.
I assure you, you'll want to do your entire garage floor though.
Those Racedeck tiles are a little pricey. I can't quote you a price because my flooring is over a year old. Not sure what their current pricing is.
Other garage floor tiles are not as expensive... Big Foot, for example.

BTW... if anyone wants to hear what this exhaust sounds like, go here:

I was just getting ready to send you a PM to ask if the new 'toys' had arrived.
Can't wait to hear how you like them. (More important: How does Roxanne like them?

I'll let you know in about 34 1/2 hours, Mike !
She's more excited about getting some growl and burble than I am... and I'm looking forward to the extra pep, too, so that's saying something !

So how do you like the exhaust? Wow, catbacks and intakes, welcome to the dark side
On a side note;
I really liked the JCW cat back on the cabrio S. Had a very nice tone and sound level for it. Added an OBX, it got significantly louder, now the RMW system requires earplugs
Well, not really, but close.
In the vert, the louder exhausts are quieter with the top down, there's a resonance in the cabin with the top up.

LOVING the Megan Cat-backs.
They sound rrrrrrreally good.
As far as the CAIs go... I'm seeing a slight increase in MPGs but I feel no appreciable increase in horses. If there is any, it's not enough to notice. But I'll take the increase in gas mileage. After all, that's why we opted for the two Justacoopers in the first place.
Thanks for asking. And yeah, I like it here on the Dark Side.
