1) What filter are you using? I only ask as it looks like there are holes in the lid (wrong side of panel filter). Ahh, I see you answered this one. For top pieces hit up someone with a Dinan as this replaces that piece... or buy one yourself!

2) Any special connotation to the girl on top of the guy? I understand the obvious meaning, but it's unclear to me why you would put this on a car...

3) Why the turbo sticker? Did you remove the supercharger?

4) What are the shifter sticker and the one next to it?

Great color, I have the same!
For the "shocker", look it up in wiki http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shocker_%28hand_gesture%29

Great article! http://www.dailycal.org/article/2270...-shocking_news

I just got it because I have boost, but nope just sc as of now, i would like to go twin turbo and supercharger one day though. not too knowledgeable of how it works together yet though.

Keep in mind that air will go the path of least resistance, so there will be lots of air going through those cover holes. This will introduce particles of dust that will get into the oil and be pumped around. They will act like sand paper on the bearings and pistons. They will destroy your engine in short order. But if you changed your oil every 500 miles, if not sooner, you could effectively run without an air filter at all, or so I've heard. I'm not going to try it though.

The # I've heard is no filter = 8mi of engine life.

That was for conventional motor oil, so you might get slightly better life until then.

Some older race machines ran entire races with no air filters, yes the engine has to be rebuilt after, but the point is they made the 500 mile race with no filter. I suppose, however, the tracks are usually out from the city and the dirty air.

Looks good! But yeah, you need to get the airbox top replaced asap. Be careful using tape as you don't want it to get sucked in...

Love the shocker sticker. In college we (the ultimate team) had a shocker salute. It was quite interesting. If I saw you on the road, I'd give it to you (the salute) proudly.

Holes in the upper air filter housing means you'll let the dust in, Dustin.

im so stupid for doing the top too, hahah but I taped up the holes on the top today with black electrical tape. This week i should recieve my new top in the mail, someone was nice enough on here to send me his for free! now that is a true MINI enthusiest looking out for other MINI enthusiests.

Well today i decided to take the last sticker off each window. the i hug corners. and the manual owns automatic paddle shifting. (even though i had the > sign facing the wrong way hahaha )
it looks a little cleaner. thought about removing all of them except the shocker stickers, but i decided to keep them up for now.
