R56 as a weekend warrior?
Hello everyone! This is my first post here at NAM, but I have been reading for a while now.
Well in the next couple of weeks I will be placing my order for my R56, yet my only hesitation is regarding the car's ability to be both my DD and my occasional weekend warrior. My previous car was a 04 STI, and after regular everyday driving and various trackdays/ driving schools (Over 6 in 2005, 5 in 2006, 4 in 2007) the car started to show some wear. The most noticeable problem was the rear shocks, which are a common problem on 04-05 STI.
Anyone here tracks the r56 and would like to ease my mind about the car holding up? I dont plan to track the car as much as I did the previous one, but it would be still be nice for a couple of events in Carolina Motorsports.
PS: the people here are much nicer than the folks at NASIOC. Much nicer community.
