Guess this year it's a no go. Club doesn't seem to do much anymore.

 

Yep looks like it. No one ever shows up at the meet and eats and no one wants to step up and plan an event, and when they do no one shows up.
Looks like 3 strikes.

 

Working downtown, living in Trussville and getting off at 5:15, I have a problem getting to events that are Rush hour traffic away. I can get to the Summit, but Pelham or Lee Branch are a no go- sorry.

I'd love to participate in some upcoming events if in town. The go-karts in Trussville aren't bad- even better with motoring company (not some dad-driver who encourages his daughter to stick her hands out of the two person cart in an attempt to prohibit passing ). ***** T's has a bike night- maybe we could ride go-karts and have buffalo wings sometime. If anybody's interested...

 

I really wanted to try to get us in the parade again this year but I am soooo sorry I just didn't have time to get organized & get a plan in place. It was a lot of work last year & I just knew I didn't have enough time to devote to making any more costumes this year. I plan on getting an early start & doing it next year for sure though

***** T's is a family type of place, with really good chicken wings, et al. They have a bike night on Tuesdays, and would welcome MINIs as well. 10% discount, and they would have door prizes and drawings. Nice folks, great wings (did I say that?) They're closed on Sundays, so we went by on a Saturday to do food shopping for our Super Bowl feast. They close at 8pm.

A few blocks away, Trussville Playstation has decent carts. If we can keep the kiddies off the track, I think we could have a lot of fun. Carts are $6 a run (7-10 minutes or so) and they are open 6 to 9 pm.

So we could meet and eat, then RACE. I queried both places about Tues, June 3rd and they're cool with it. Interested?

 

It sounds like fun to me. Maybe we could do that as our June Meet n Eat which is very possibly what you were wanting it to be
