interior A pillar removal and reattachment

hey guys. i had a windshield replacement done yesterday and the gy did a grat job EXCEPT the passenger's side interior A pillar cover is misaligned. the one with the aribag logo on it.

trying to figure out how the heck to get it off and realign it correctly rather than having to call him back out. seems kind of tough to wiggel it around to see how it's attached.

thanks.

The airbag is mounted on the roofline. The only part on the A-Pillar is the retention strap. It should be safe to remove and replace without any issues. I don't recall how it's attached. Sorry.

well, i already had new exterior A pillar covers ready for the windshield guy because those DO and DID break. he got the interiors off without breaking them though. i can kind of pull them back a little and it looks like they "pop" into the window column there.

kind of sucks because i was more concerned checking the glass work he did which was fine. and then today when i got in the car i noticed the pillar cover was all misaligned on the passenger side. there's a gap between the pillar cover at the top and the windshield that i can fit the tip of my finger into. AND the door weatherstrip seal around the drivers side wasn't put back on correctly. that was easy to fix though.

FWIW it was safelite in pasadena. the glass looks great but, i'm a little ticked about the pillar cover. i guess it's more cosmetic than anything but, still. i'll call them in the morning and have them out to resolve their screw up.
