FYI: Gas Mileage
Did a recent gas mileage check on our two Mini"s both bought new, non-s, auto transmissions, 85% highway, always use premium, conservative driving,
bone stock except 2003 has K-N Typhoon intake from Advance Auto Parts.
1. 2003 157,000 miles, about 500 miles for check 31.84 MPG
2. 2007 19,000 miles, about 1000 miles for check 38.02 MPG
(computer says 36.1 mpg, avg. mph 51.3 for 2007)

and the 2003 has a CVT? 157,000 miles?
that makes me happy to hear as i have 38k on my 03 cvt (aftermarket intake as well)! did you have it replaced at all or any special maintenance other than fluids? sorry to veer slightly off topic there.
