R56 17" non-factory rims
17" non-factory rims
I changed from 16" to 17" non-factory rims purchased from dealer and cannot get the shimmy out of my car at 55-65 mpr. Anyone had any problems like this, or do I have to re-purchase new factory rims?
My guess will be that you need hubcentric rings. What aftermarket wheels did you put on there? Did you install hubcentric rings to match the hub bore?
Either that or the tire company didn't properly balance the wheels when you had tires installed. The hub rings are more likely though.

Ditto on the hubcentric rings, 99% of after market rims have a large center bore to allow for a more universal fit for most cars within that particular bolt pattern application. Most wheel shops carry or can get the proper hubcentric rings for your Mini depending on the make and model of your new rim. The Mini hub diameter is 56.1mm so that should be the inside diameter (ID) of your hub ring and you will need the (OD) Outside diameter for the ring which will be the the center hub size of your new rim. A lot of aftermarket rims are 73mm but not all so don't quote me on that. Hope this helps good luck. Hey and post a pic of the rims on your car!
