firstly, if you don't know the story i had a flat tire and the people at hassel took off a perfectly good tire and left the busted tire still on my car.. i was extremely angry cause i had to leave my car there again another night and i couldn't understand how they could do something so stupid! while my car was there i ordered the lapis hand brake. when i went to pick up my car i saw this..

i went inside and said "you gave me only half of the lapis hand brake, they said "no..with the lapis hand brake you only get the gaiter" and i said "then what the hell am i paying $80 for? one piece of lapis blue leather" and they said "yes" then i had to point out to them in the accessory book that they were indeed wrong (parts guy didnt even know!)... all of this took like 30 minutes. but anyway, they ordered the handle and they offered me the lapis shift gaiter and **** as a peace offering for the huge inconvience this whole thing was....... i appreciate the gesture but i don't really want it... sounds the me like MINI service SUCKS everywhere! ugh!
anyone else have similar problems?

They are full of it. I bought the lapis handbrake last week, and installed it myself. BOTH the gaiter and the lapis handle are included in the $83 kit. They are feeding you a line girl. Go get 'em.

 

Wow! That sux! I must say that I have been pretty fortunate because I have had excellent service with my dealer. (Prestige) Also, when I had tranny problems & had to use Westchester MINI, they were very good too! I figured that I wouldn't get the same service there because I didn't get my MINI from them, but I was pleasantly surprised. Good luck with your situation!
