It looks very slight on the driver's side. Looks like time for some form of strut plate or camber plate, ideally both.

What happens when the strut towers start to mushroom? Does that effect anything? I know m7 has those strut tower brace plates, are those a worthy thing to get as to prevent mushrooming?

there are lots of threads in details what the strut tower brace plates would do and mushrooming struts in general. To summarize, tower brace plates will help, but it won't completely eliminate the chance of your struts mushrooming. you need the tower brace plates AND camber plates to completely eliminate the problem. And what i also heard is that Craven plates seems to have better reviews than m7 plates.

and mushrooming will of course throw your alignment out and effect your handling.

I'd say my new (to me) 2006 is about exactly the same as that, just a slight bow up, very slight, I almost can't see how they could stay dead flat with the stresses put on them.

I am looking at the craven system.

cheers. Peter

yeah.. I got freaked out and just placed an order for a set of Cravens.

I can't imagine anybody driving a MC without a set. Because I only have 15000 miles on it and religiously try to avoid potholes.
