Just purchased a JCW Aero Kit

Just to let everyone know.. I just got a JCW Aero Kit from Morristown Mini. thought it was a great buy since it's definitely cheaper then others that I've found. But the customer service is horrible.. had to wait several weeks for the order to be complete and drove over an hour each way to get it since shipping would of practically cost the same as the kit. Realized after I got home that several clips were missing and they handled the situation completely horribly. I ended up going to my local dealer and paying $23 for all of the clips b/c I was completely frustrated!

But I put on my kit last night and it looks great! Took me about 4 hours but it's not bad at all... so don't spend the extra hundreds to have someone put it on!

The kit didn't come painted but I had them work with a local shop to get it painted... so it was all ready to be installed when I picked it up

Did you take some pictures before and after?

Always nice to see the transition.

Mmmmm... exactly how many weeks did you have to wait"? I ordered the JCW kit from Morristown almost two weeks ago as well and I though they had it in stock.

I ordered my jcw aero kit when I ordered my car but the PW was backordered I heard. I was told I was 5th in the nation and I just got mine installed this past Wednesday. Took about a month and a half to get give or take a couple weeks as I am not completely sure when the order was put in.

I am getting mine painted by a local NAM member for a very reasonable amount (I just heard from Morristown Mini today - the kit should be shipping on Monday - yeah!).

This sounds like a great idea. Just so everyone knows how crazy the numbers get in New York City. I went yesterday to place an order for the JCW09 at Mini Manhattan and the cost of the kit painted and installed is 3850!!! Needless to say I will get it from Morristown. First time around I had them install my first aero kit on our R53 and it was quite fast although the paint job wasn't top notch.
Please let us know the final cost of the kit with paint job and the quality.
Thanks and looking forward to your pics!!

fdavid just to give you a heads up you can get the JCW Aero painted and installed at the VDC for $2500. Talk to your MA at MINI of Manhattan.

Mozza: Sorry but I am not sure I know what the acronym VDC means.
Wow really? So why would he say such an outrageous number? Thanks for the info.
BTW: Who us your MA? I was speaking with Charlie.

The VDC is the Vehicle Distribution Center, this is where your MINI will come to straight off the boat so your JCW Aero will get factory paint and it will be installed when it reaches your dealer. The outrageous number quoted is because MINI of Manhattan charge ridiculous prices for painting and installation. Just call your MA and tell him you want the JCW Aero painted and installed at the VDC and don't pay any more than $2500. I actually didn't buy from MINI of Manhattan I went with Westchester MINI instead. I shopped around until I found an MA who I felt was a genuine MINI enthusiast and who would be totally involved in the whole process, I found that in Steve at Westchester MINI.
