What oil do I use for the transmission?

I need to know what kind of oil I should use for my Midland transmission. I have a 2003 R50 with about 76k on it. The transmission has a weird sound like squeaking rubber when I shift. And also, where should I have them change the oil? I know they do it at like Brake Masters and other places but should I have them do it?

It's a little bit of a pain because the drain and fill plugs are in a bad spot but it can be done in a driveway. I had mine done when my car was inspected at a local garage I trust. Also, I use (along with a lot of other people here) used RedLine's MTL. Great stuff, costs maybe $6-8 a quart. You'll need 2-3. The weight is 70W80 Manual Trans Lubricant (MTL).

I will also vote for Redline MTL.
If you can change oil you can do the trans.
The fill plug is the fill sight hole, on a level surface.

I put a tube (maybe 2 feet) on a funnel, & into the fill hole and, tape the funnel so that I can pour in the fluid. When it "overflows" out of the site it is full.

I'd take pictures, but I won't be changing my fluid for several months...

You should invest in a haynes or bentley manual. The ultimate DIY manuals.
