As everyone may or may not know, MINI USA has changed the former idea of 4 separate venues for MINI Takes the States. As of right now they are planning on a coastal drive, starting in Miami, FL and continuing to Boston, MA, with a few stops along the way. One of those stops will be here in Charleston, SC, with the date tentatively set for June 17th. We, MINI of Charleston, will be hosting an event at Patriot's Point for all of the MINI owners to take a break from the motoring and experience a little bit of Charleston. A few things we are currently planning on will be catering from Bessinger's, "Tony the Peanut Man," Sweetgrass basket making, and even the Redbull MINI Cooper with free Redbull. We would love for everyone to participate in MINI Takes the States; however if you cannot make it to the entire event, it may be possible to motor on down to Charleston for a taste of the Lowcountry!

Thanks for the invite. We may be able to do just that. Since the Miami to Boston is a very boring drive I really haven't planned on doing it. Did it for years in 18 wheeler and its not much fun and no I wasn't on the Interstate as it was not built yet, US 1, 301 321, and 17 and couple other old roads.

 

Luke.. I think it would be a fun drive, if some of us from the club do it.. you know with this club.. lmmfao anything is possible and we can take a blade of grass and make it fun!

 

I hope the 17'th of June in Charleston is a go, because I CAN DO IT!!!!!

Thanks for all the support thus far. The reason it's set for Tuesday is the event that takes place in Miami lasts for the entire weekend, so everyone will leave Monday morning. I think there's a planned stop in Jacksonville on Monday evening then motoring up to Charleston on Tuesday. Any other questions?

 

Yes the middle of a work week is the pits! I can do it as I have 6 Saturdays and 1 Sunday in my schedule. Doc are you off so as we could go down monday and spend the night and have some noni juice? I plan on staying over monday night if anyone else would like too? Opinions anyone?
