OUCH!

Something similar happened to Schultze in the Walmart parking lot. Thankfully my comprehensive deductible is only $200!

Man that is the worst! I would be knocking down doors trying to find the person responsible. Even if you can't afford to fix it' how could you do that to a mini?

The bumper is probably repairable. Call a mobile bumper repair company. Often they can repair the bumper to good as new condition in 2-3 hours while u wait and at a fraction of the cost of a traditional body shop with no downtime.

Unfortunately, the metal section will need to see a body shop.

Some people absolutely suck.

Duct tape to the rescue. Tape it on the inside of the bumper, maybe some epoxy too.

I feel your pain...someone scraped my bumper right at the rear sensor portion while in downtown Houston. Thank GOD that their paint actually scraped off onto my bumper and with some light compounding and light polish i brought it back to life. I am surprised the force of the scrape didn't pull the sensor out! Obviously you cant buff that out ....but clubman s advised you to check with mobile repair ..it's worth a shot ---some of those guys can do wonders...mike

Doesn't it make you want to thin the herd!!? The person who did that and did not at least leave a note is exactly the sort of person we need fewer of. Correction: that we need NONE of.

That sucks. I'm sure that's over $500.00... I have the same deductible. I hate deductibles.

My deductible is $1000...that was the only way they'd let me keep my insurance...

I checked with the local (well 45 mins away) dealer, they said the bumper cover alone is $331., so, im sure after the materials, labor, and whatever else it will bring it up. Its also great cuz ill more than likely have to miss work due to the fact i dont have any other means of transpo.

Look into purchasing the rear from Classic Auto Campus (vendor here) or look for one in the classifieds. I'm getting the front aero for $280. I'm sure a rear bumper cover is cheaper...
