does anyone have a sound clip of this exhaust system on a cooper s? i've found them for a cooper but not the s. and yes i did a search. as i thinking of getting this system as my brother has it on his corrado, and i love the sound. hopefully the sounds are similar.

I don't have a sound file but I do have a Remus system on my S. It produces a low, mellow tone that growls when you put your foot in it. The tone is hard to describe but the exhaust emphasizes lower frequencies rather than higher, raspier ones. It is relatively quiet and does not drone in the cabin at all, at steady throttle openings it's not far from stock noise levels. I have the HK sound system and noise level was a consideration when I was looking for an exhaust; I didn't want anything that would overpower the stereo and technically waste the money I spent on the HK.

If you're looking for a loud exhaust this system isn't it, but if you're looking for quality of tone at "louder-than-stock" but not "race-level" the Remus fits the bill very well. When I was shopping for one Turner Motorsport had the best price at the time.

 

thanx for your response. i do have one question for you then. what is the sound level compared to stock? as i want something a bit louder than stock, but not screaming when i barely give any gas. i love the stock sound, i just want it to be a bit louder, but not really loud like magnalfow.
