Lowering and tire clearance

I'm new so bare with me. I'm in an 2005 S model early year production. I've just put 7.5" wide 40mm offset 17" wheels on the car with TOYO T1R non run flat tires.
My concern is will I rub if I lower a small amount, and is it possible with coil overs such as Megans or SPAX to only lower in the rear a small 1/2". Wouldn't mind 3/4" or 1" in front if the wheel and tires allow. Also, any other options would be welcome also. Thanks for any advice I can get

You should be fine with those numbers.....what size tire you running? 205 or 215 shouldn't present a problem. I run a 215/40 with a 17 x 7.5 with a 45mm offset and before I installed BC coilovers I had no rubbing even with Eibach lowering springs. BC's went on and I had to use a 5mm spacer up because of the strut tower interfering with the tire but no issues in the rears...

And you can set the ride height any way you desire with coilovers.

So I should be OK then?? The Coil overs I've seen id ads always seem to say in example a minimum of 1" to a max of 1.9" I just thought that the min was exactly that, no setting between 0 and 1"??

1 inch is only slightly more than the JCW suspension, you shouldn't have issues with rubbing.

I ran 215/45/R17 profile tires with no rubbing, lowered on H-Sport (About 1.3 drop).

The issue is that the shock is actually shorter by one inch, not that the settings start at 1 inch.

You should be fine though .
