I feel very badly for you. Have you asked your MA what the story is? Are they still waiting for a spot in their allotment for April or something?

I remember your asking something about this in another thread...and there was one other person who'd ordered from them recently. I hope you get some answers that make you feel better.

odd... I ordered mine on 3/16 at Long Beach mini and they gave me a production # on the spot and it's due to be delivered to my dealer about the 27th of this month...

Hope you get yours soon!

Wow, that sucks. I ordered from Towson on 3/29, got my production number that day, and they started production on it today.

Maybe you should call towson and see if you can transfer your order over there. Might be worth the drive.

ColdFrye.....I ordered three weeks before you also from Long Beach on 2/25, got my Pro# the next day. I got thrown off the Trianon and stuck on a boat with 200 oarsmen instead of an engine (Madame Butterfly) which you might be on and probably won't take delivery till the end of the month. You had a great turnaround, good luck with your motoring!

HI fishdrummer, I am considering ordering from Sterling. Do they charge much of a dealer prep fee on the clubman ? Any freebies ?

How did you find out yours was routed to a different ship? The Don Juan is scheduled to land in Port Hyeneme on the 23rd, but has dropped off the above link for the time being... (/crosses fingers hope boat didn't sink :P )

dealer prep is minimal and they threw in the floor mats..i think you will find that at most dealerships. my beef is the word "allotment" has never come up...

just to let you know i have decided to cancel my order with sterling.
i have found their customer bedside manner to be abysmal. Now that I know there are other dealerships with actual production numbers and perhaps a clubman that fits my needs on their lot .. I am moving on.

I don't blame you fishdrummer. Please let us know what ends up happening. It would be wonderful if you could find a Clubman that fit your needs on another lot or, if not, place an order and know it's really an order that is going to be filled forthwith. Good luck and promise to report back!

Wow - I'm sure that's a disappointment, but if you're not satisfied now I can only posit a guess as to what happens at service time. You did not have a problem getting back your deposit did you ?

You should come down to Richmond and use Crown Mini. Got a prod order number the day of my order - 3/20. Production is scheduled to finish tomorrow and then i've got a few weeks to wait until it arrives.

I hope you will understand if I dont get into names as I think the team
takes the hit for poor customer service . Granted there is so much they could have done, but again a bit more honesty would have been nice. I learned that I was at least another two weeks out from a production number (it would have made it a six week wait for JUST the production number).

Fishdrummer....I have hear good things about Towson (mostly on the service side; dunno as much about the sales side). Please visit the DC Metro Mini's forum here at NAM:

Maybe some of us here can help you out as well. Hope you can check out one of our meetings sometime as well or join us on a run. Best of luck to you.
