Interior/Exterior Powder coating: R84 (???)
Powder coating: R84 (???)
I have an extra set of rims (R84) and I want to get them powdercoated. However, I just took a look at the new centercaps which are still in the original wrappers and realized that they are plastic.
Now, I understand powdercoating is done at extreme temps, so that definitely means the centercaps cannot be coated...so...what options do I have for matching the color of the centercaps to the powdercoated rims?
Schultze is Hyper Blue/White, so I was thinking perhaps going with black or gunmetal for the rims.
My thoughts are leaning towards finding an acceptable rattle-can color for the centercaps and then choosing the powdercoating color to match.
ANY advice/guidance would be GREATLY appreciated!

I'm upgrading to Mintex Red pads--which means less brake dust than the OEM pads. I'd even consider white rims if it will make the entire process easier.
These rims NEED to be done before MOTD...my car is STILL sitting in the parking lot at the collision center waiting on suspension parts from the dealership AND body parts that I ordered from a vendor here (before AMVIV)which still haven't arrived yet.
I'm getting QUITE concerned that Schultze won't be ready-to-roll in time for MOTD and I'll be out $$$ for registrations & such!
